COYBL
Last updated August 6, 2026
Everything on your team page, start to finish. If you would rather have this on paper, the league office has a printable version.
Go to coybl.org/captain, pick your team from the list, and type your 5-digit code.
Your code was emailed to you when you registered. There is no account to create and no password to remember. Your assistant coach got the same code, so either of you can post games and enter scores.
Lost it? The league office can read it back to you. If you have typed a wrong code several times, your team locks for 15 minutes, so wait it out rather than keep trying.
Keep the code to your coaching staff. Anyone who has it can enter scores for your team.
Everything lives in the row of tabs across the top of your team page:
My Team · Roster · Message Families · Team Logo · Submit Score · Pitch Counts · Schedule · Help
On a phone that row is wider than the screen, so swipe it sideways to reach the far end. Nothing is hidden in a menu. Above the tabs you will see your team name and division, so you always know which team you are signed in as.
Add your players. Open Roster, tap + Add Player, and fill in the name, jersey number, position, date of birth, and the parent or guardian's email and phone. Tap Add Player to save, then repeat.
Get the birth dates in. They are what the site uses to check age eligibility, and pitch counts only work for players who are on the roster.
Birth dates are never shown publicly. They are stored separately from the roster that parents and other teams can see, and only you and the league office can read them. The public side of the site shows a player's name and nothing else. The same goes for the email and phone.
Upload your team logo. Open Team Logo and upload a PNG or JPG. It appears next to your team on the standings, the schedule and every score.
COYBL coaches schedule their own games. There is no master schedule handed down from the office.
The home team posts the game, so it only ever gets entered once. Open Schedule, tap + Add a game, pick your opponent from the dropdown, set who is home, put in the date, and tap Add game. Time and field are optional, so leave them blank if you have not pinned them down and add them later.
If you are the away team, do not post it. Ask the home coach to. Two coaches posting the same game is the one thing that makes a mess here.
While you are on that tab, use the Google Calendar or Apple Calendar buttons once. Your team's games drop into the calendar app on your phone and stay right when a game moves. Copy URL gives you the same link to hand your parents.
Open Submit Score, find the game, and tap ⚡ Quick Score. A small form opens right there in the list. Put your runs in the US box and theirs in the THEM box, then tap SUBMIT.
Standings update themselves from that. Nobody types a standings table.
Somebody on your team has to submit a score after every game. Both coaches can report, and if your two finals disagree it goes to the league office to settle rather than one quietly overwriting the other. So enter what you actually had, and if you got it wrong, say so.
Open Pitch Counts, pick the Game from the dropdown, pick the Pitcher, type the number of Pitches, and tap + Log outing. Repeat for each pitcher who threw.
Do it the same day. The site works out who is eligible to pitch next and when, and it can only do that from what you have entered. A count logged three days late is a kid who may already have pitched when they should not have.
Most pitches in a single day: 75 at 9U and 10U, 85 at 11U and 12U, 95 at 13U and 14U.
Required rest, the same at every age:
| Pitches thrown | Rest required |
|---|---|
| 1 to 20 | None |
| 21 to 35 | 1 day |
| 36 to 50 | 2 days |
| 51 to 65 | 3 days |
| 66 or more | 4 days |
Pitches add up across a whole day. Two games on a Saturday is one total, not two, and the rest applies to the combined number, which is usually bigger than coaches expect. 7U and 8U are coach pitch, so none of this applies to them.
Open Message Families to send one email to everyone on your roster. Practice moved, bring red jerseys, whatever you need.
It shows how many families it will reach before you send, and tells you if any player has no email on file. Add the missing ones on the Roster tab and they are included next time.
Each family gets their own copy, so nobody sees anyone else's address. Replies come straight back to you, not to the league. The league office gets a copy of what you send.
The Help tab on your team page has all of this in short sections you can tap open, plus how to add the site to your phone's home screen so it opens like an app and keeps you signed in.
If something on the site is broken, confusing, or just missing, tell the league. It goes straight to the admin panel and gets read.
You don't have to leave your name. Add an email only if you want a reply.
My code will not work. Check you picked the right team from the list first. If you have been guessing, the team locks for 15 minutes. If it still will not take, ask the league office to read you the code.
My team says Division TBD. Normal. The league sets divisions after registration. Everything works in the meantime.
A game is missing from my schedule. The home team posts it. If you are away and it is not there, the home coach has not put it up yet.
Our record looks wrong. Records come from submitted scores, so a wrong record almost always means a game with no score on it yet. Check Submit Score for anything still sitting there.
Anything else. Contact the league office.
