If you are inquiring about info for 2012, we will not have that info ready until Mid August.
For now, go to www.coybl and at the top of the left hand home page, click on create an account and enter your info and you will be added to our email list. Once the 2012 info is ready, I will send out an email to advise the info has been posted on our web site for 2012.
There will be no fee increases unless Nations Baseball or USSSA Baseball increases their fees.
League fees as of now are $440 as they were last year and include team insurance.
Players looking for a team should use our Player Post and check our Team Post options on our web site or contact the teams directly as we do not have a league wide tryout.
Below you will find some info in PDF form and also a Web Page on COYBL for the 2012 Season as of 07/24/2011.
This info may change as fees and rules from the National Sanctioning bodies come out.
Thank you,
Doug Hare

Ø COYBL and Nations Baseball rosters must include the players actual Birth name on their Birth Certificate to be a legal player and their Birth dates must match as well
Ø Players can only be on one COYBL roster per age group. They can be on two rosters if they are age eligible, but it could affect your Nations Baseball Classification later. If you have any questions on this, contact Nations Baseball.
Ø A Players legal playing age for the 2012 Season will be their age as of April 30th, 2012. See below:
1. In age divisions 14 and below, the player’s age on April 30th determines the player’s eligible age division for the current season that includes April 30th. Players can play up an age division but can never play down.
2. B. High school divisions have a grade exception rule based on one age up. For example, a 16-year old
freshman can play in the 15U - Freshman age division—but not a 17-year old.
Ø Rules will be updated and modified somewhat by December 2011. You may use the 2011 rules posted at www.coybl.org for now as a guideline
Ø Bat rules are being reviewed with bat manufacturers, National Sanction bodies and other leagues to see what is best for the teams of COYBL. We will update as soon as we can on the web site.
Ø Please use the following pages on our web site, 2012 Team Tryouts, 2012 Player Posts, Umpire Posts, COYBL Rules and other pages on our web site for info about COYBL
Ø All Umpires MUST be licensed through OHSAA Association and also Register with COYBL on the Umpires page or they cannot umpire COYBL games. Please let you umpires that you use know they will need to sign up after 9/1/2011 for the 2012 Season. There is no cost to do this.
Background checks are highly suggested. Doug White, 2012 - 11U League Director can handle this for you for just $1 per coach through the company that does all of Little League Baseball Coaches. For more info, please contact Doug White at dougwhite@columbus.rr.com
We have had a couple of requests to offer a 9U division for teams that want to play by little league rules, where you are not permitted to lead off. We will offer this to the 9U teams for 2012, but we will also have our regular divisions of play using OHSAA rules.
